About ArtEastri

Crafted in the East.
Worn across India.

Handwoven sarees, dupattas, Kantha stoles and handmade jewellery, designed in-house and made by artisans in rural Bengal.

A note from the founder
It starts at my desk. It ends in their hands.

I started ArtEastri nine years ago with one belief: the crafts of Eastern India belong in everyday wardrobes across the country, not just in museum cases.

Every collection begins with me sketching motifs, borders and colourways, and reworking them until they feel right. Then I sit with our weavers and Kantha artisans, who bring them to life slowly and by hand. That is why no two pieces are ever quite the same.

How a piece is made
From sketch to you
01

Sketch

I design the motifs, borders and colours, and rework them until they feel right.

02

Weave

Handloom weavers in Bengal set the design on the loom, one row at a time.

03

Stitch

Kantha artisans finish many pieces by hand, often over several weeks.

Why it matters
Slow fashion, real livelihoods
  • Direct from artisans. We work directly with weavers, artisans and rural co-operatives.
  • Women-led. Most of our makers are women, earning from their craft close to home.
  • Crafts kept alive. Every order helps preserve weaves and stitches from Eastern India.
  • Made to last. Pieces you keep for years, not one season.
Wear the story. Gift the craft.

Planning gifts for your team, a wedding or an event? We customise Kantha sarees, dupattas, stoles and home furnishings for bulk orders.
