Our Backbone- Our Artisans - Arteastri

Curious about the faces behind our stoles and dupattas? Here they are. The core designers and artisans behind ArtEastri. Meet our team.

Tina, a Textile designer with great taste which matches our design pschye. The brains behind our Handloom Home fashion fabric and all the latest Jamdani Stoles that we have produced in 2019-2020.

Bappaditya, our master weaver friend , the person who has been our oldest partner in our handloom journey with stoles. Love to experiment in design and fabric with Bappa, a gem of a person.

Our Nanoor girls , our kantha warriors, churning out stoles , Dupattas , Shawls and more over the years. Headed by Afrunnessa Begum of Kulia Mahila Samity.

Mukul Sheikh from Kulia Village, our feet on the ground @ Birbhum. Without him, we would not have been able to reach out to the twenty odd Kantha artisan ladies who are now ArtEastri family.  Seen here are Pompa Roy and Champa Roy. This was Mukul's visit to hand over a monthly ration kit during the May Lockdown period in India. We do not have a foundation but we are trying to do our bit to take care of our little family.
